Olá, hei & welcome! I'm Sara, a designer and illustrator from Porto, living in Oslo. Yellow Daisies is my creative studio, a space for design, illustration, and textile experiments, rooted in craft, curiosity, and the joy of handmade things. The name is personal: daisy suggests playfulness and imagination, but it's also mine and my mom's middle name, Margarida in Portuguese.
I studied arts, design and architecture, but the crafts I grew up with shaped my instincts and creative expression just as much. With my mother, grandmother and aunts — whose skilled hands were always busy sewing, knitting, or crocheting — I learned embroidery at age six. Ever since I've kept experimenting with textile techniques, drawing and collage.
My father passed on a love of analogue photography, which I incorporate into my expression through visual journaling. I snap moments on my Polaroid, knit and read slowly. I take workshops and courses for the pure joy of learning. I value rest, love long walks in the park, a good movie and coffee with friends. Yellow Daisies is where all of this comes together.
Work with meI'm available for freelance projects and creative collaborations. I work best when ideas matter as much as execution. I'm based in Oslo and can work remotely. Say hello at sara@yellowdaisies.studio.
